Founded in 2014 by Demon Studio, the team behind the luxury accessories brand ‘Incomplete’ discovered a gap in the market for handbags with a unique design, and have created collections that are visually captivating whilst retaining incredible quality. ‘Incomplete’ means ‘incomplete completion’, and the asymmetry and geometric shapes feature throughout their collections. Favotell caught up with Andrew Yen, the owner of Incomplete. Check out what he had to say.
Favotell: “What inspires the designs behind the Incomplete bags?
Andrew: “Our inspiration comes from many different forms. We find inspiration from many things, this could be a piece of art work, architecture, music, and even everyday lifestyle objects like kitchenware.”
F: Your brand is about expressing a design concept of balancing internal and external consistency on the basis of self-style. How does the design of each bag convey this concept?
A: The ethos behind INCOMPLETE is to create new forms of structure. We want to break all the rules and limitations in order to promote an innovative new style of handbags.
F: When did you make the decision to create your own brand?
A: It was back in 2014 when I realize that handbag market in China is so boring, it needed something extraordinary, something fun and interesting and most importantly "authentic".
