Favotell decided to get in touch with a designer to figure out more interesting things about her life.

Please introduce yourself;

Your full name, where you are from,

where you currently live and what you currently do for a living/job


My name is Ewa Bednarska. I’m a fashion designer from Poland. I’ve been running the company under my own name for 2.5 years.


What did you want to be when you were a child?

I always wanted to do something creative. I thought about an interior or landscape design but since high school I’m very interested in fashion.


Did you study at school for art and design and how did you learn the skills you have today?


To become a fashion designer was my big dream, so when I got to the University I gained as much knowledge from professors as I could. I’ve learned not only to draw but also to differ fabrics, construct and sew.


Who or what influences your work?

My surroundings: nature, buildings, people, music, movies- all of this has influence on what I create.



What’s your advice be to those wanting a career in the arts industry?


Don’t be afraid of challenges, take part in many competitions for young artist and never give up!


What do you like about what you do?


I create collections in short series and still getting pictures from satisfied customers who wear my casual projects in different parts of the world. For me it is the greatest reward for the tremendous work that I put into each individual project and implementation of the collection sale.


What are you fascinated by at the moment?


Recently I’m inspired by the cultures from around the world. In the last collection for autumn-winter HAIKU I was inspired by the work of Matsuo Basho, who in a few words could conclude so many meanings. In turn, the spring-summer collection is the result o
